I do admire the origami artform. Origami is so clever in the way it creates a paper shape without any glue, just paper folds. I have gone cross eyed trying to do some of the more complex shapes, but these origami cubes are my fave. They are easy and I love the look of them in different sizes and colours. Here is a photo tutorial on how to make them. STEP 1: Use any square paper. It does not have to be double sided. Fold it in half, and then unfold it. STEP 2: Fold a quarter upwards to meet the middle crease. Do both sides. STEP 3: Turn over and fold the bottom right corner upwards and the top left corner downwards. STEP 4: Fold the top right corner down to the bottom middle, and the left bottom point to the top middle. STEP 5: You will need to make 6 of these for a cube. STEP 7: Unfold Step 4 and use the side triangles to slot into the the square/triangle pockets another until all are joined. I am giving mine a going over with a few coats of modge podge, so I can wipe them clean. I am making enough to do some origami chandeliers for my kitchen and living room. In the meantime they are decorating my bowls, vases and mantelpieces.
